Hi, I’m Jarno Korhonen, a master woodworker with over 30 years of experience in the art of woodcraft. My journey with wood began back in 1994, and from the very first turn on the lathe, I was hooked. I’ve always been fascinated by the natural beauty and character hidden inside every piece of wood — and I love bringing that to life through my work.
I have a deep respect for traditional craftsmanship, but I also enjoy experimenting and finding new ways to express creativity through woodturning. Every project teaches me something new, and that constant learning keeps my passion alive.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of learning from some of the true masters of the craft — Stuart Mortimer, Richard Raffan, Johannes Rieper, Kurt Johansson, and Jimmy Clewes. Their knowledge and inspiration have deeply influenced my journey, and now I’m delighted to share that passion with you.
Through www.woodturning.fi, I hope to share that same inspiration — to show how wood, tools, and imagination can come together to create something truly unique. Join me as we explore the beauty, creativity, and endless possibilities of woodturning — one mesmerizing project at a time.
